Cyclone Idol Hosted by Lee DeWyze

During VEISHEA week here at Iowa State Student Union Board and VEISHEA are putting on the annual Cyclone Idol Competition. The competition will be help in the Great Hall on April 18^th, which is the Thursday of VEISHEA week. Cyclone Idol is a singing competition that is run similar to American Idol. In order to be in the competition you have to apply at veishea.iastate.edu by Friday, March 29^th. There will also be a preliminary round on April 8^th. If you make it through both of these rounds you will be in the final on April 18^th. Come o out and show us your musical talent. After the competition the host Lee Dewyze with guests Jillette Johnson, and Tristan Prettyman. This concert will be free a free concert. 

Student Union Board Comedy Presents Rory Scove. He will be coming to Iowa State University March 28th. Rory Scovel has performed different late night shows including Conan, and LateNight with Jimmy Fallon. He has also performed at different festival including Bonaroo, and Sasquatch. With FREE ADMISSION, there is no reason why you shouldn't be here.  

Open Mic Nights-are on scheduled on varied Tuesdays nights sign up starts at 7:00pm with performances starting at 8:00pm.  Open Mic gives the students the chance to show off there talent in vocal or instrumental music, spoken word or poetry, and stand up comedy as well as any other talents that a student would like to share.    

Grandma Mojos Moonshine Revival-is a student run improv troupe on campus. They host shows on varied Wednesdays of every month.  They are also preforming on the Monday of Veishea.  Tryouts for Mojos are being held on Monday, September 3rd, for first semester. The doors open at 9:30pm with the show starting at 10:00pm with a door cost of one  dollar.
