Empty Bowl Project // December 2, 2011
The Empty Bowl Project: Fighting Hunger Locally and Globally, was held on Friday, December 2 in the Cardinal Room at the Memorial Union. Attendees were able to choose a handcrafted ceramic bowl and fill it with either chili or vegetable soup. This event is held in conjunction with Oxfam and MICA, Mid-Iowa Community Action.
Together with individuals and local groups in more than 100 countries, Oxfam saves lives, helps people overcome poverty and fights for social justice. This event is held in conjunction with Winterfest, an annual ISU celebration on campus.
